I bought a beautiful cocktail dress with chocolate brown for a Christmas party. This is in satin blouse and skirt in silk chiffon. I try to between silver and gold shoes, choose stripes, but I'm open to suggestions.

How about with shiny bronze metallic sandals or pumps? You mix a lot better than gold with chocolate brown - and is a little different, not weird.
